Supporting States’ Visit – May 18, 2026

The MFO Force Commander, Major General Michael Garraway (Australia), and a variety of MFO personnel, both military and civilian, were pleased to welcome Ambassadors, Defense Attachés, and key Embassy staff from Egypt-based Embassies to the MFO’s North Camp on May 18, 2026.

In total, 32 representatives from sixteen Supporting States including Australia, Canada, Colombia, Czechia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, the Republic of Korea, Serbia, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Uruguay visited as well as interested observers from Singapore and Thailand. They were accompanied by Mr. Bradley C. Lynch, the MFO’s Representative in Cairo, along with his staff, and representatives of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The visit focused on the MFO mission and the capabilities present in Sinai that directly contribute to our Observe, Verify, and Report responsibilities as well as the important facilitation role we have undertaken to promote dialogue, build trust, and enhance transparency between Egypt and Israel.

The MFO is honored to host these visits, which give Supporting State representatives a valuable first-hand understanding of how the mission operates on the ground. Seeing personnel, capabilities, and operations in context offers a clearer appreciation of the practical effect of their countries’ continued support.

These engagements also demonstrate how contributions of troops, equipment, and funding translate into mission effectiveness, while deepening understanding of the MFO’s unique role in sustaining confidence, communication, and stability between Egypt and Israel.

The MFO remains grateful to all our Supporting States for their generous contributions and collaboration.
