The MFO welcomed delegations from Egypt, Israel, and the United States and representatives from our Supporting States to the Annual Plenary meeting in Rome on Monday, January 19, 2026.

It was an occasion to highlight Egypt and Israel’s ongoing commitment to their Treaty of Peace as well as MFO activities during the past year on their behalf. This included advanced verification work in key areas, best efforts to facilitate dialogue, and a variety of undertakings to ensure continued, safe, and effective operations.

Most importantly, the Plenary Meeting provided a forum and an opportunity for the MFO, Egypt, and Israel, to thank the family of MFO Supporting States for their generous contributions and solid commitment to our peace-monitoring mission.

Enabled by our Supporting States, we are confident that the MFO and our personnel will continue to operate effectively in 2026 and deliver the same level of professionalism, transparency, and reliability that the Treaty Parties depend upon.
