France's commitment to the MFO extended from April 1982 to April 2025. At the outset, France provided the MFO with fixed-wing support which included aircraft, crew, and air staff officers. Commencing in June 2010, France focused its contribution on supporting MFO liaison with the two Treaty Parties. Initially this consisted of two Liaison Officers and then in 2016 a single Army Lieutenant Colonel who served as Deputy Chief of Liaison North at North Camp.
The MFO deeply appreciates France's invaluable contribution to our peacekeeping mission for 43 years.
